The Playground Is Live

Round 0 is the Pre-Release Playground — a live, always-on sandbox galaxy running right now at app.planetia.org. It exists so you can learn the game, stress the mechanics, and help us tune the balance before the first scored round begins.

Everything is free. There is no scoring, no season pressure, and nothing to lose.

What Makes Round 0 Different

  • 60-second ticks. The live galaxy advances every minute — roughly ten times faster than a standard scored round. A build order that takes days in a normal round plays out in an afternoon.
  • Reset freely. Made a mess of your empire? Reset and start over as often as you like. Experimentation is the point.
  • Instant race changes. In Round 0 you can switch races on the spot — try all four (Terran, Catari, Xantha, Zikoan) and find the one that fits how you play. In scored rounds, race choice locks at signup.
  • No cost, no catch. Every ship, every tech, every government. Nothing is gated.

What Carries Into Round 1

Your account carries into Round 1 — your commander name, your login, and your Round 1 signup reservation. Your planet does not: Round 1 starts every commander from a fresh homeworld on a level playing field. Nothing you build in the Playground gives you an in-game advantage later; what you keep is the experience.
