Battleship
The Battleship is the capital ship — the most powerful combat vessel a player can build, combining extreme attack and defense with a cargo capacity sufficient for major planetary operations. Battleships require significant Crystal and Deuterium investment on top of their Metal cost, which gates them behind resource infrastructure that only mature empires possess.
A fleet with Battleships is a winning fleet — if it gets there. The challenge of the Battleship is not its performance but its cost: the Crystal and Deuterium required to build Battleships in quantity are the same resources competitors are using for research, trade advantages, and espionage. The player who converts those resources into Battleships fastest, without sacrificing enough economic infrastructure to sustain production, wins the endgame.

Visual Aesthetic
The largest standard-class combat vessel, Battleships are immediately identifiable by their mass. The hull is multi-decked with visible command bridge superstructure, primary weapon arrays running the length of the forward hull, and secondary batteries covering all approach vectors. Exhaust systems are enormous — Battleships need significant propulsion to move their mass, and the engine sections are visually as prominent as the weapons. Catari Battleships are unique: crystalline lattice-grown mega-structures that glow sapphire and azure from every surface seam.
