Corvette
The Corvette is the fleet’s escort and harassment vessel — faster than frigates, more durable than fighters, and cheap enough to produce in bulk. Corvettes fill the anti-Fighter role within larger fleets, intercept raiding parties before they reach cargo convoys, and serve as the backbone of early-Round offensive forces when heavier ships are not yet available.
Corvette doctrine rewards positioning. Used as pure frontal assault, they are outclassed by mid-tier vessels. Used as screens for heavier fleet elements or as chase-down units against slower opponents in retreat, they extend a fleet’s effective combat radius considerably.

Visual Aesthetic
A two-nacelle design with a wider stance than the Fighter. The hull is longer relative to width, with a prominent forward sensor dome and two ventral weapons pylons. Race variants: Terran Corvettes are blocky and modular; Catari versions have elongated organic wing structures in cool blue; Xantha Corvettes are chitin-plated and green with antenna-like sensor stalks; Zikoan versions are stubby, patchwork-armored, and scavenged-looking.
