Cruiser
The Cruiser is the fleet anchor — the ship that absorbs fire while the rest of the fleet deals damage. Cruisers have the highest defense-to-cost ratio of any combat vessel, and their HP pool makes them the primary tanking element in any serious fleet composition. Without Cruisers holding the line, faster and more attack-oriented fleet compositions collapse under sustained counterattack.
Cruisers are slow. They commit you to the engagement you enter. Use them when you intend to finish the fight, not when you need an exit.

Visual Aesthetic
Broad, heavy hull with full-surface armor coverage. Cruisers are wide relative to their length, with six weapon hardpoints spread across three firing arcs. Shield generator domes sit above and below the midsection. The dorsal profile has a stepped superstructure housing command and communications equipment. Zikoan Cruisers are the most distinctive: double-layered patchwork armor plating with visible bolted-on and welded sections added across successive refits and salvage runs.
