Fighter
The Fighter is the fastest and cheapest combat vessel in Planetia — a pure interceptor built for dogfighting and rapid-response defense. Fighters carry minimal armor and no cargo capacity. Their purpose is to meet incoming threats before they reach high-value targets, or to flood enemy defenses with sheer volume.
Fighters are cost-effective in mass quantities. A well-timed swarm of Fighters can strip escort layers from a slow-moving fleet before heavier ships engage. They are useless against planetary bombardment and die quickly to point-defense systems, but against unshielded or lightly-escorted fleets at close range, they are the most efficient damage-per-Metal option in any race’s fleet doctrine.

Visual Aesthetic
Minimal dual-wing profile with a narrow single-seat fuselage. Wings angle back sharply at approximately 35 degrees. Faction color stripe runs along the dorsal fuselage. No visible weapon housings — guns are recessed into the wing roots. The silhouette is a dart. Every race’s Fighter variant maintains this core form with surface texture variations: Terran Fighters have riveted panel seams, Catari versions have crystalline blue wing-tip lattices, Xantha variants have chitin-plated green wings with segmented joints, Zikoan fighters have blunt patchwork noses welded from mismatched plating.
