Frigate
The Frigate occupies the mid-tier raider role — fast enough to pursue retreating fleets, sturdy enough to survive light defensive fire, and carrying enough cargo capacity for meaningful resource raids. Frigates are the primary tool for disrupting enemy logistics in the mid-game, hitting supply lines, raiding lightly-defended planets, and applying constant economic pressure without committing a full battle-fleet.
Frigates are not effective in line combat against defended targets. Their value is mobility and harassment. A dedicated raiding squad of Frigates maintained throughout a Round drains opponents of resources they cannot recoup without restructuring their defense.

Visual Aesthetic
Elongated single-hull design with prominent cargo bay doors along the midsection. Forward section is reinforced for planetary approach runs. Two weapon hardpoints sit above and below the forward hull. Frigates look businesslike: no decorative elements, cargo bay identifiers stenciled on hull panels, running lights along the ventral keel.
UI Tooltip
