Probe
The Probe is the fastest hull in the game and the cheapest way to see what you are actually attacking. Sent to a target planet, a Probe returns a full intel report: planet class, building layout, ships in orbit, and total fleet size — everything you need to decide whether to commit a real fleet.
Probes carry no weapons and no armor worth mentioning. Their only defense is speed, and it is not always enough — a target with Fighters on standing patrol will intercept and destroy an incoming Probe before it can complete its scan. Scout in bulk against anything you expect to be defended.

Visual Aesthetic
Tiny single-purpose hull, barely larger than a sensor array with a drive section attached — the smallest ship any race builds. Terran Probes are a plain riveted cylinder with a visible sensor dish. Catari Probes are a single crystalline shard, near-transparent in flight. Xantha Probes are launched in small clustered swarms of three or four for redundancy. Zikoan Probes are needle-thin, gold-tipped, built purely for speed.
